Commercial Journeyman Electrician

Souderton, PA Area | Full-Time

Universal Electrical Service is looking for an experienced Commercial Journeyman Electrician with strong hands-on field experience. We are looking for electricians who have spent their career installing electrical systems on active commercial jobsites, not primarily working as a technician or mechanic.

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform commercial electrical installations from start to finish
• Install and bend EMT, rigid and other conduit
• Pull, route and terminate wire and cable
• Install panels, disconnects, transformers and electrical equipment
• Read blueprints, drawings and electrical schematics
• Perform layout and rough-in work
• Install lighting, power distribution and electrical systems
• Work on commercial construction projects including:
  • Office and commercial fit-outs
  • Warehouses and distribution facilities
  • Manufacturing facilities
  • Clean rooms
  • Food and beverage facilities
  • Equipment installations
  • Other commercial and industrial construction projects
• Work safely from ladders, lifts and elevated platforms
• Help guide apprentices and other crew members when needed
• Maintain quality, productivity and safety throughout the job

We're Looking For Someone Who

• Has Journeyman-level commercial field experience
• Has several years of hands-on electrical construction experience
• Is comfortable bending and installing conduit
• Can read blueprints and lay out work
• Has experience with commercial electrical installations and rough-in
• Can work independently without needing constant direction
• Has experience working on active construction jobsites
• Takes pride in doing quality work and getting the job done right
• Has a valid driver's license

This position is NOT intended for candidates whose background is primarily electrical maintenance, equipment repair, automotive/mechanical work, or service technician work. We are looking for a Journeyman who has strong electrical construction and installation experience in the field.
