About the Position
We are seeking experienced and motivated Traveling Journeyman Electricians to join our growing team. This position requires extensive travel to commercial, industrial, and mission-critical project sites throughout the United States. Qualified candidates will possess strong electrical installation, troubleshooting, and leadership skills while maintaining a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial facilities.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and construction drawings.
- Install conduit, cable trays, wire pulls, panels, switchgear, lighting, and control systems.
- Perform equipment terminations and testing.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and company safety standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and other trades on-site.
- Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation.
- Mentor apprentices and less experienced electricians when required.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 4 years of commercial and/or industrial electrical experience.
- Ability to travel extensively and work out of town for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical drawings.
- Experience with conduit bending, motor controls, and electrical troubleshooting.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening and drug testing.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
